What is new in Tempbench?
This changelog lists every Tempbench release we can date, newest first. Tempbench was first built on 20 October 2026, opened for self-serve sign-ups on 21 October, gained the ring round, jobs and the week planner on 23 October, and opened paid plans on 26 October. Only product changes are listed.
- The tempbench.co.uk website. Feature pages, pricing, comparison pages, guides for UK temp agencies and free calculators went live.
- Paid plans. Subscriptions can be started from Billing inside the app: £12.99 per seat per month plus VAT, or £129.90 per seat per year. Read more
- Tempbench. The app took the Tempbench name and moved to app.tempbench.co.uk.
- Ring round. A weekly availability call list of everyone not checked since Monday, most-used first, with Done, No answer, Skip and Save as their usual week. Read more
- Jobs. Jobs for each client and site, with pay rate, charge rate, margin per hour, shift days and times, headcount, a pipeline from suggested to started, and Find matches. Read more
- Week planner. Jobs down the side and days across. It blocks overlapping shifts (overnight included), Do not use and days off with an override, and warns on expired documents and a seventh day in a row. Read more
- Working with, Inactive and Everyone. A switch above the candidate list, with bulk Make inactive and Make active, and undo. Read more
- Sample agency. Sample data now includes 10 jobs and this week's bookings on the planner. Read more
- Self-serve sign-up. Agencies can sign up themselves with a 30-day free trial and no card.
- Sample data. Load a made-up agency with 84 candidates, 14 clients, 18 tasks, 3 shortlists and dated documents, then remove it in one click. Read more
- Wide screens. Pages centre and use the extra room on very wide monitors.
- Candidates. Positions, skills, statuses, notes, documents with expiry dates and a weekly availability strip on every record. Read more
- Clients. Clients with sites, contacts, and the dates terms were signed and rates agreed. Read more
- Team and settings. Seats with owner, admin and user roles, invites, password reset, export everything as CSV, and delete the agency. Read more
- Import, shortlists and map. CSV import with column matching and duplicate checks, shared shortlists, and a map of candidates and client sites. Read more
- Home, tasks and Data checks. A home screen for the day, team tasks with due dates, and a screen that finds duplicates, missing postcodes and expiring documents. Read more
- Message templates. Emails, letters and notes with merge fields that open in your own email, copy, print or save to the record. Read more
- Help assistant. A question mark on every screen opens answers worked out from written rules about the app, not AI, plus a short first-run tour. Read more
Not in Tempbench yet
Tempbench does not include SMS or texting, timesheets, payroll or pay and bill, invoicing, a candidate app or portal, job board posting or integrations. When any of that changes, it will be listed here with the date.
