Keep every candidate, their roles and their paperwork in one list.
Tempbench's candidate database holds each person's positions, skills, status, notes and documents, with their week beside their name. Mark people active, incomplete, inactive or do not use. Park the people you are not working with, so they drop out of searches, the ring round and the planner without being deleted.

Four statuses, and a switch for the people you are not using.
Every agency has people on the books they have not placed in a year. Tempbench keeps them, out of the way.
- Active
- Ready to work. Shows in searches, the ring round, the planner and job matches.
- Incomplete
- Signed up but missing something. Data checks flags anyone left incomplete for over 14 days.
- Inactive
- Kept on file but left out of searches, the ring round, the planner and matches. Bulk make people inactive or active again, with undo.
- Do not use
- A clear warning on the record. The planner will not book them.
How it works.
Add people, or bring your spreadsheet
Type someone in from a phone call, or import a CSV with column matching. Postcodes are looked up so distances work straight away.
Give them positions and skills
Positions such as Van Driver, Care Assistant or Forklift Driver. Skills such as ADR, Driver CPC, Counterbalance FLT, Food hygiene or Own transport. You set your own lists in Settings.
Keep notes and documents on the record
Notes are dated and named, so anyone on the team can see who spoke to them last. Documents carry an expiry date where they need one.
Switch between Working with, Inactive and Everyone
The list opens on the people you work with. Tick a few and make them inactive in one go, and undo it if you picked the wrong ones.
Questions.
Can I import my existing candidate spreadsheet?
Yes. Save it as a CSV file from Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers and upload it. Tempbench matches your columns to its fields, checks for people who are already on file, then adds the rest. Names, phone, email, postcode, position, skills and notes all come across.
What is the difference between inactive and do not use?
Inactive is for people you are not working with right now: they stay on file but drop out of searches, the ring round, the planner and job matches. Do not use is a warning flag for someone you should not place, and the planner will refuse to book them.
