About Tempbench.

Tempbench is a CRM for UK temp and staffing agencies. It is built and run by Mako Digital, a web studio in Wigan.

Why it exists

Small temp desks fill shifts by phone and keep the week on a spreadsheet, a whiteboard, or both. The software sold to them is usually built for permanent recruitment, priced for much bigger teams, or hidden behind a demo before anyone will say what it costs.

Tempbench is built the other way round. It starts from the week: who is free each day, who you have rung, which jobs need people, and what is booked. Everything else, from clients to document expiry, hangs off that.

How it is run

The price is on the website and every feature is on every seat. There is a free trial with no card, monthly plans with no contract, and an export button that gives you everything. We say plainly what Tempbench does not do, such as texting, timesheets and payroll, so nobody signs up expecting them.

Who builds it

Mako Digital is a web studio in Wigan that builds websites and web software. Tempbench is its own product, run alongside that work.

The name

It is spelt Tempbench, one word, and it is software for agencies. If you were looking for the AI research benchmark with a similar name, that is a different thing entirely.
