Tempbench vs TempBuddy: what can be confirmed in 2026?
TempBuddy is a temporary workforce platform that joined Erecruit in 2018, and Bullhorn bought Erecruit in 2019. On 27 October 2026 no TempBuddy price was published and tempbuddy.com did not load. Tempbench, our product, costs £12.99 a seat a month plus VAT and has no worker app or timesheets.

Who owns TempBuddy now
In January 2018 Erecruit announced that it, Bond International Software and TempBuddy would combine under the Erecruit name. The release called TempBuddy "a multi-award winning workforce management software" and said it would be built into Erecruit's platform and Adapt, and "will also continue to be available as a stand-alone product" (Erecruit release).
On 1 October 2019 Bullhorn announced it had acquired Erecruit, listing the "TempBuddy temporary workforce management platform" among Erecruit's products (Bullhorn press release). Today erecruit.com redirects to a Bullhorn page headed "Erecruit by Bullhorn", which does not mention TempBuddy (source).
What we could not confirm on 27 October 2026: whether TempBuddy is still sold to new customers, under what name, and at what price. tempbuddy.com did not resolve when we checked. If you are looking at it, ask Bullhorn directly.
TempBuddy pricing
No TempBuddy price is published on any vendor page we could find. The Erecruit page on Bullhorn's site shows no prices. Bullhorn's UK pricing page lists Starter at £80 and Core at £120 per user per month, with Pro and Max on "Talk to us", but it does not mention Erecruit or TempBuddy, so those are not TempBuddy prices (Bullhorn UK pricing). Treat any TempBuddy figure you see on a third-party site as unconfirmed.
Tempbench publishes its price: £12.99 per seat per month plus VAT, or £129.90 per seat per year, with a 30-day free trial and no card.

Where TempBuddy is stronger
TempBuddy was built around the worker. A November 2018 release described a worker app where temps "set and view their split shift availability and accepted assignments for a calendar month in a single screen", with a weekly pattern plus ad hoc dates across the year (onrec). Tempbench has no candidate app, and a day is free, booked or off with no split shifts.
TempBuddy also sits inside a much larger group. Bullhorn describes Erecruit as a provider of "applicant tracking and pay and bill solutions", and Bullhorn's own platform goes well beyond what Tempbench does. If you want workers to self-serve availability, or pay and bill from the same vendor, look there first.
Where Tempbench fits
Tempbench, the CRM for UK temp agencies, is for desks of one to ten that run the week by phone: weekly availability, a ring round list, sentence search by distance from a postcode, clients with sites and agreed rates, jobs with pay rate, charge rate and margin, and a week planner that blocks double bookings and warns on expired documents. The price is on the page and you can start without a sales call. It does not include SMS or texting, timesheets, payroll or pay and bill, invoicing, a candidate app or portal, job board posting or integrations.
Questions people ask
Is TempBuddy still available?
We could not confirm it. TempBuddy joined Erecruit in 2018, and Bullhorn acquired Erecruit in 2019. On 27 October 2026 tempbuddy.com did not load, and the Erecruit page on Bullhorn's site did not mention TempBuddy. If you use it or are considering it, ask Bullhorn whether it is still sold and supported.
How much does TempBuddy cost?
No price is published. We found no TempBuddy pricing on any vendor page on 27 October 2026, and the Erecruit page on Bullhorn's site shows none either. Bullhorn's UK pricing page lists its own plans but does not mention TempBuddy. Any figure on a third-party review site should be treated as unconfirmed.
Does Tempbench have a worker app like TempBuddy?
No. Tempbench has no candidate app or portal, so temps do not log in. Your team keeps each person's week up to date, usually on the weekly ring round, as a usual week plus changes for single dates. If you need workers to set their own availability, Tempbench is not the right fit.
What is a good alternative to TempBuddy for a small agency?
It depends on what you used it for. For a worker app, portals and timesheets, look at TempAlly or Bullhorn, which list those features. For seeing who is free, ringing round and booking shifts at a published price, Tempbench costs £12.99 a seat a month plus VAT with a 30-day free trial.
