How much does a recruitment CRM cost in the UK?
Published UK prices for recruitment CRMs run from £12.99 per seat per month plus VAT (Tempbench, our product) through £45 to £49 (TempAlly Startup, ATSpro) to £80 to £120 per user (Chameleon-i, Bullhorn). Several vendors publish no price. Check the contract length, add-ons, set-up and migration fees, and whether VAT is on top.

Per seat, per agency, or by usage
Most recruitment CRMs now charge per seat (or per user): one price for each person on your team who signs in, whatever the size of your candidate database. That is how Tempbench, TempAlly, ATSpro, Chameleon-i, Bullhorn Starter and Core, Recruit CRM, Manatal and Loxo publish their prices. Candidates and clients are not seats.
Some vendors instead build a quote for the agency. Firefish says its pricing is "usually shaped around your agency's users, workflows and selected package", and JobAdder builds "a tailored proposal". You only learn the cost after a sales call, and it can include modules you would not choose separately.
A third model is usage on top of seats. Recruit CRM includes credits with each plan and charges extra features in credits: timesheets, for example, are 100 credits per active contractor per month. For a temp desk with many workers, usage pricing like that can matter more than the seat price, so ask for a quote at your real numbers.
What a 1, 3, 5 and 10 seat desk pays
Tempbench charges the same price for every seat, with every feature on every seat. VAT is added at the standard rate of 20%.

Price is not the whole story. Several of these products include timesheets, portals, invoicing or a much wider platform; the comparison table lists what each vendor publishes. Tempbench has no timesheets, payroll, invoicing, texting, candidate app or integrations, so an agency that needs those would be comparing different things.
Add-ons, set-up fees and the small print
- Add-ons. Firefish lists add-on modules from £150 per module. Bullhorn lists Onboarding, Messaging, Analytics and AI products without prices. Chameleon-i lists Temps, Contract, Client Portals and a Mobile App as separate products without prices. Ask for the price of each one you need.
- Set-up and migration. Several vendors say set-up is free (Bullhorn Starter, Core and Pro, TempAlly, ATSpro, Chameleon-i Core). Others charge for assisted migration (Recruit CRM) or scope it as a package (Loxo Professional and Enterprise). Get it in writing before you sign.
- Contracts. Monthly, rolling 30-day and no-commitment plans let you leave. Annual plans paid up front, such as Loxo's, commit you for the year. Ask about notice periods and price rises at renewal.
- Currency and VAT. Dollar prices change with the exchange rate, and your card provider may add a fee. Several UK pages do not say whether VAT is included, so ask. The UK standard rate is 20%.
- Getting your data out. Check that you can export candidates, clients and documents at any time, in a format you can use elsewhere, without a fee.
How to budget for your first CRM
Count the people who will sign in, not the people on your books. Multiply by the seat price, add VAT, then add any add-on you know you need, such as timesheets or texting, at its quoted price. Compare the monthly figure over a year, since a yearly plan is often cheaper but paid up front.
Then use the free trial with your own data. A 14-day or 30-day trial with a week of real bookings tells you more than a demo. Is recruitment CRM pricing per user or per agency?
Mostly per user, often called per seat: you pay for each person on your team who signs in, and candidates and clients do not count. Some vendors quote for the whole agency after a call, and some add usage charges, such as Recruit CRM charging credits per active contractor for timesheets.
Are there set-up fees for a recruitment CRM?
It depends on the vendor. Bullhorn lists free implementation on Starter, Core and Pro, and TempAlly, ATSpro and Chameleon-i Core say there is no set-up fee. Recruit CRM charges for assisted migration, and Loxo scopes migrations on its larger plans as packages. Get any fee in writing before signing.
Do recruitment CRM prices include VAT?
Often not. Tempbench and TempAlly state their prices exclude VAT, and several other UK pages do not say either way. VAT at the standard rate of 20% is then added to the invoice, so ask each vendor which way its price is shown. Dollar-priced tools may also carry exchange and card fees.
