Staffing agency software for the people, the clients and the week.
Tempbench is staffing agency software, a staffing CRM for UK agencies with one to ten people on the desk. It holds candidates with their documents and weekly availability, clients with sites and agreed rates, jobs with margins, a weekly ring round, and a planner that blocks double bookings. £12.99 a seat a month plus VAT.

What a staffing CRM holds.
Four kinds of record, joined up. If any one lives in a separate spreadsheet, that is where the mistakes happen.
- Candidates
- Positions, skills, a status (active, incomplete, inactive or do not use), notes, documents with expiry dates, and a free, booked or off strip for every day. Candidate database
- Clients
- Sites with their own postcodes, contacts, and the dates terms were signed and rates agreed. Clients and sites
- Jobs
- Pay rate, charge rate, margin per hour, shift days and times, headcount, and a pipeline from suggested to started. Jobs and margins
- Bookings
- Who is on which shift, on a week planner that blocks double bookings and warns on expired documents. Week planner

Where Tempbench fits a staffing agency, and where it does not.
A good fit if
- Most of your work is temporary shifts, filled by phone
- You have one to ten people on the desk
- You want the price on the page and to set it up yourself
- Payroll and invoicing already run elsewhere
Not the right fit if
- You need timesheets, pay and bill in the same system
- You need texting, a worker app or a client portal
- You post jobs to boards from your CRM
- You need integrations with other software
Questions about staffing software.
What is a staffing CRM?
A staffing CRM is the database a staffing agency runs on: the workers on its books, the clients it supplies, the jobs and shifts in between, and the notes and paperwork on each. A good one also shows who is available, because that is the question a staffing desk answers all day.
What is the difference between staffing and recruitment software?
The words overlap. Recruitment software usually means tools built around permanent vacancies: CVs, interview stages and placement fees. Staffing software usually means temporary and contract work: availability, shifts, headcount and hourly margins. Tempbench is the second kind, with a simple pipeline on each job.
Does Tempbench do pay and bill?
No. Tempbench has no timesheets, payroll or invoicing. Each job holds the pay rate, charge rate and margin per hour, and bookings show who worked which shift, but pay runs and invoices happen in your payroll and accounts tools. If you need it all in one system, choose a suite that includes it.
Can I move to Tempbench from a spreadsheet?
Yes. Save your candidate sheet as a CSV, upload it, match the columns, and Tempbench flags anyone already on file before adding the rest. Clients and jobs are added in the app. You can also load a sample agency first to see how it works before you bring your own data.
